What a winter it has been at Affinity Living! As we wrap up the cold months, let’s take a moment to reflect on the events, gatherings, and achievements that have made this winter one for the books. Take a peek into life at Affinity over the last few months – from our always-free-to-attend resident events, to some of our news highlights.
We kicked off the holiday season with our annual Winter Party. Always a highlight on our resident calendar, this event brought everyone together to celebrate in style. The place was decked out with festive decorations, setting the stage for an enchanting evening.
We all came together to celebrate the joyous season, indulging in delightful drinks, scrumptious s’mores desserts, and live music that added to the already magical atmosphere.
‘Santa Paws’ Dog Paw-ty
We also organized an adorable ‘Santa Paws’ event, which is basically a Christmas Party for canine residents! Four-legged friends and their owners came together to celebrate the holiday season in a joyous and festive atmosphere.
The party was filled with exciting activities such as dog costume contests, paw-print painting stations, and a special visit from Santa Paws himself, making it a memorable and heart-warming experience for all attendees.
As well as this, our Christmas markets and movie nights gave us all a chance to indulge in the holiday spirit and create some wonderful memories. And who could forget about our book club meetings where we dove deep into fascinating stories while sipping on hot cocoa?
January was all about starting the New Year on a high note. We welcomed 2024 with a mix of events designed to bring our residents together and foster a sense of community. Our newly launched Craft Club, ever popular resident mixer, and eco-conscious tote workshops were just a few highlights!
Kitten Therapy
One of our most popular events was Kitten Therapy – showing once again that Affinity Living is one of Manchester’s most pet-friendly places to live! We teamed up with animal experts, Kitty Yoga London, to bring some four-legged joy to our community with a special kitten therapy session.
The room was brimming with smiles and laughter as we bonded with adorable kittens, making it a heart-warming event that showcased the incredible benefits of furry companionship.
As we moved into February, the fun didn’t stop. Our indoor pop-up markets, chocolate truffle masterclass, and musical bingo were standout events that kept the community spirit alive despite the winter chill. We also celebrated Chinese New Year with a vibrant party and an innovative UV life drawing workshop.
Of course, none of this would have been possible without the incredible Affinity Living team and our amazing residents. This winter, we were thrilled to receive the Best Riverside Residential Development at the Northern Enterprise Awards and secure a Highly Commended status at the Property Insider Awards. These accolades are a testament to our commitment to creating an enriching living experience for our residents.
