Plant Powered Sundays at GRUB, Red Bank
GRUB has become a staple on the Manchester food scene and the food market offers up a completely vegan menu every Sunday. Vendors change each week so there’s always something new to try!
Vertigo, Royal Exchange and First Street
Vertigo haven’t been open relatively long but have already got two venues on the go! The demand is strong. You can expect a large plant-based menu, including grab-and-go breakfast and lunches as well as a dine-in menu of stews, curries, smoothie bowls and salads. One of our fave dishes is the jackfruit and black bean chilli. Yum!
Wholesome Junkies, Manchester Arndale
If you’re looking for a vegan treat that isn’t on the healthy side of the menu then Wholesome Junkies is somewhere you’re going to love. Completely plant-based comfort food is their vibe and the Chickn Sandwich is not to be missed.
Bundobust, Piccadilly Gardens

Whilst Bundobust isn’t a strictly vegan restaurant, (everything is vegetarian however!) this Indian street food favourite has a lot of vegan dishes to enjoy. And they’re all clearly labelled. Okra Fries are a must and we recommend trying the Bhel Puri and the Saag Chole.
V Rev, Northern Quarter
This classic American style diner, V-Rev has everything you’d expect: hotdogs, burgers, chicken sides, loaded fries, sundaes… but they’re all completely plant-based with no animal products in sight! The food is excellent and so are the creative names they’ve come up with for all their dishes!
The Allotment Vegan Eatery, Lloyd Street
Allotment have not one, not two, not three, not four, but FIVE different menus to order from, all containing scrumptious vegan food. There’s a la carte, lunch, Sunday roast, dessert and a special Veganuary menu. So it’s no surprise they’ve won awards upon awards! Also happening, is 20% off the a la Carte menu throughout January.
